LOAD CAPACITY ANALYSIS IN SPHERICAL BEARING WITH THE SURFACE ROUGHNESS AND THERMAL EFFECT FACTORS

This work examines the analysis of squeeze
film lubrication for spherical bearings, taking into account
variations in viscosity and heat effects. Graphs are drawn
and expressions for load capacity and squeezing time are
generated and quantitatively examined. It is demonstrated
that a high viscous layer close to the perimeter causes an
increase in load capacity and squeezing time, whereas a
low viscous layer causes a drop in both. In order to
examine the heat impact on load capacity and squeezing
time for spherical bearings, a parameter called "q" is
introduced and examined for various values.
